Rising Damp
Permanent solutions for rising damp - engineered to withstand the Cape in all seasons.

Why Rising Damp Is A Problem
Rising damp occurs when ground moisture is drawn upward through masonry by capillary action. If left untreated, it leads to progressive damage to internal finishes and indoor environments.

How We Fix It - Properly
Rising damp cannot be solved with paint or surface coatings — it requires the installation of a functional damp-proof course.

1. Inspection & Analysis
We measure moisture levels and assess wall construction, floor heights, and external ground levels to confirm rising damp and rule out lateral or plumbing-related moisture.

2. Salt & Plaster Removal
Contaminated plaster affected by hygroscopic salts is removed to prevent residual moisture attraction and future finish failure.

3. Dryzone Injection
Dryzone cream is injected into the mortar course to form a new horizontal damp-proof course (DPC), permanently interrupting capillary moisture rise.

4. Replaster & Finish
Walls are replastered with a breathable cement-based system designed to allow residual moisture to evaporate without damaging internal finishes.
